Calibration Kits
With Dicaliant calibration kits and pigtails your measurements are phase accurate – a prerequisite for successful design by simulation, or reliable validation of the impedance. For the first time, calibration standards for non-connectorized pigtails are now available! Open-ended pigtail cables allow precise and flexible positioning of the measurement point on board. Dicaliant calibration kits always ship with a set of compatible pigtails, and when you run out of this set, you just order a new pigtail set that works with your specific calibration kit.
Because best results are obtained following a dedicated measurement sequence, which can identify so-called landing parasitics of the pigtail-to-board junction, we highly recommend considering a package including training along with the calibration kit. This is particularly relevant for problems above 4 GHz.
The calibration kits are available in three frequency classes:
ZAC-BOX 4
for frequencies up to 4 GHz
ZAC-BOX 6
for frequencies up to 6 GHz
ZAC-BOX 8.5
for frequencies up to 8.5 GHz
All kits are SMA-F and contain calibration standards for OPEN/SHORT/LOAD. The standard models are delivered on a USB stick/email, to be used to set up calibration in the VNA.
The calibration kits ship with 16 pcs of individually characterized measurement pigtails (length: 75 mm, diameter: 1.31 mm). Each measurement pigtail has a fine-tune de-embed model that can be applied either directly on the VNA or in a simulator when post-processing the measurement data. These models are delivered together with the calibration models.
We will shortly release further pigtail size options for length 150 mm and diameter 0.81 mm. Also 2-port calibration kit with OPEN/SHORT/LOAD/THROUGH standards will be available soon.
